Happy Mother’s Day

Celebrate the ladies (mamas) in your life! All mama's are worthy of celebration! And from one woman to every other...we're ALL mama's! We are all part of a tribe or three! Helping keep each other afloat. And in those tribes- we're that village! SO, this week... I want you to thank someone who is in YOUR tribe! Maybe she IS a mom, maybe she just plays one in your world! Thank someone (for who/what/ how/when they do what they do or for something they did that saved you; someone without whom you couldn't be a supermom/dad! ❤️

Personally, my tribe has shrunk. It's hard. I wish I knew why God has allowed it. But what I do know is those who are IN, are IN! I met two of my ‘lifers’ in 2007 through a Bible study. We each contacted a local church about young adult studies & God made the connections. I have someone I can call at any time day or night for any reason! I can’t be the friend I want to be right now, but I do believe those who are in my tribe know that when it matters, I’ll be the first one at the door. With the simplist 'Hi' in a text, I'll get a msg/call from one of my favorite humans ever ❤️! I share that to say, I will no longer be a slave to wishing things were different; I can’t keep mourning for those who choose to walk away and walk without repairing. But, I want MORE! I want to be part of tribes whose members LOVE as unconditionally as possible and their patience and mercy are visible. Those who don’t and won’t walk away when my burdens become so heavy I have to focus on me first. I’ve learned that without a true tribe, feeling lost is inevitable. It’s not what God intended and So... I want to celebrate those who DO stand by us! Those who make us feel normal dejen we are at our worst & most especially for those who pick up where life has us when we are able to be together. No guilt. No demands. No stipulations. All friendship. Gossip-free Support. True sisterhood!
